about deadround

The name says it all.
Dead. Round.
Not perfect. Never stopping.

We didn't set out to start a brand.
We set out to shoot — films, commercials, anything that got us behind a camera on the streets of Seoul.
That's where it started. On set, between takes, hauling gear through the city.

Somewhere along the way, we realized something.
Filmmaking is more fun than it's supposed to be.
Not just the craft(the whole thing).
The new techniques you stay up reading about.
The gear you didn't know you needed until you held it.
That moment when everything clicks - the design, the feel, the function - and you think, this is exactly it.

We call it gear obsession. We've all got it.
And we stopped feeling like we had to apologize for it.

We're filmmakers. But we're also just people who genuinely love what they do.
The line between the job and the passion blurred a long time ago.
We stopped trying to find it.
deadround is what happened when we did.

We built the gear we always wanted but couldn't find.
Designed on set. Shaped by obsession. Made to last.
Built for people who feel something when they pick up a camera -
not just obligation, but real excitement for what's possible.

Where we're going.

The round grip stays. That's non-negotiable.
It's the core of what deadround is a shape that keeps moving, no matter what.

But everything around it will grow.

Different materials. Different textures. Different ideas folded into every release.
Because the grip is just the beginning
it's the point where your hand meets the camera,
and that moment deserves more options than anyone has given it.

On the mount side, we're building out too.
3/8 threads got us started, but we're going further.
NATO clamps. Arri rosettes. Every standard that serious shooters rely on.
Whatever your rig looks like cinema, documentary, run-and-gun, hybrid - deadround will fit into it without asking you to compromise.

And beyond the hardware, we're following the culture.
Filmmaking touches a lot of worlds.
Every subculture that bleeds into the work,
every obsession that makes the job feel less like a job
that's the territory we want to explore.

We're not trying to be everything to everyone.
We're trying to be exactly right for the people who live the way we live.
The ones who can't draw a clean line between what they do and what they love.
The ones still thinking about the next piece of gear at midnight.
The ones who show up to set and feel something
not just obligation, but genuine excitement for what's possible.

That's who deadround is for.
And we're just getting started.
